The long flat slightly twisted silk filaments
('slack stitches'), perpendicularly 'couched'
with single threads,
the decoration in the Asian-influenced Jacobean manner,
and outlined in gold 'chain-stitch',
each object having a specific marital meaning.
78" High, 49.6" Wide
Also included :
a Charles II glass beadwork embroidery,
and crewel pillows with silk and silver thread.

M. Ford Creech Antiques specializes in 17th, 18th and early 19th century furniture and accessories.
Each piece is carefully selected in regard to quality, condition and uniqueness. Although our
concentration is predominately British, we also offer a small selection of Continental antique
furniture.
The decorative arts include ceramics (early Chinese, Chinese esport, early continental and English to 1800);
a good selection of 17th - early 19th British silver, including flatware, hollowware and accessories;
and a small collectin of late 19th / early 20th century tribal rugs.
We also offer paintings by a changing eclectic mix of American and European listed artists,
with emphasis on early 20th century American East and West Coast Painters.
